What this policy covers

This policy covers tryrut.com and requests for our managed AI support service. Before a customer agent goes live, we agree separately on the data, providers, access and retention needed for that service.

What we collect and why

The pilot form collects your name, business name, email, phone number, industry, city or town and an optional message. We use these details to respond to your request and assess a pilot. Submitting does not sign you up for unrelated marketing or marketing texts. Please do not include sensitive records.

We also save a submission timestamp, browser user-agent and attribution details: campaign tags, advertising click identifiers, referring page and landing path. Attribution is held in your browser’s session storage and attached to the request to help us understand where inquiries come from.

Storage and sharing

Form submissions are stored using Google Cloud Firestore. Rut and the service providers needed to host the website, store requests and deliver communications process this information. We do not sell your personal data. We retain request information as needed to handle the inquiry, manage the business relationship and meet applicable legal requirements. Contact us to request deletion.

Google Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics to understand visits and interactions such as calculator use, section views and form completion. Analytics uses cookies and collects device, browser and usage information. Our events do not send your name, email, phone or free-text message; successful submissions include industry and town.

You can block cookies in your browser or use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on. See how Google uses information from sites using its services. Blocking analytics does not prevent you from requesting a pilot.

If you use our live AI chat

When available, the optional chat sends your messages to Rut’s service to answer your questions. Please avoid sensitive information. An anonymous visitor identifier and open conversation are saved in your browser’s local storage so chat can resume after a reload. If storage is blocked, they stay in page memory. Chat messages may be stored as conversation records; contact us about access or deletion.

Colorado privacy requests

Where the Colorado Privacy Act applies, Colorado residents may request access, correction, deletion or a portable copy of personal data, and may opt out of sale, targeted advertising and certain profiling. The Act’s consumer rights generally do not cover information supplied in a business or employment capacity. Read the Colorado Attorney General’s guidance.

Send a request or appeal to michael@tryrut.com with “Privacy request” in the subject. We may ask for information to verify your identity. You can contact us about your information regardless of whether the Act applies to your request.
